Therapeutic Touch practitioners can restore this balance simply by passing their hands over a patient’s body. That’s the claim anyways, and it actually does have quite a few studies that back it up, although religioustolerance.org notes that “… no study has shown it to be more effective than an untrained but caring empathic individual aimlessly waving their arms over a patient.”
