Bacopa

Common Name: Bacopa monnieri, Herpestris monniera

Botanical Name: B. monniera

General Information: Bacopa is a small, creeping plant that is native to marshy areas in the tropics.

Medicinal Uses: Bacopa is used a lot in Ayurveda medicine for a wide range of ailments, including ulcers, tumors, enlargement of the spleen, indigestion, inflammations, diarrhea, fever, scabies, syphilis... In recent years it has caught on in the West as a brain tonic, with the ability to improve mental ability and memory.
