Botanical Name: Lobelia inflata
General Information: Grows in the
eastern US, but it can be cultivated elsewhere. The
plant is collected in its entirety after it flowers
in late summer.
Medicinal Uses: Lobelia is a strong
relaxant and can be used for many different conditions.
It is particularly effective when used on bronchitic
asthma and bronchitis. Lobelia can be combined with
a number of other herbs, including cayenne, to better
treat conditions such as asthma.
