Description: Tabebuia is a large genus of trees that grow in tropical climates such as Brazil, Paraguay and northern Argentina. Taheebo itself is derived from the inner bark of the wood of this tree.

Therapeutic Uses: Taheebo was used by Incas and other early tribes to treat a wide range of anti-fungal conditions, and is used today to treat candidiasis, pyorrhea, athlete’s foot, and herpes, as well as similar conditions. Its most common use today is as an alternative cancer treatment, although there have been no clinical trials to support this. It is used in South America to treat both cancer and leukemia, as well as chronic diseases, immunodeficiency diseases, diarrhea and intestinal infections.

Additional Notes: Do not use taheebo with anticoagulants. There have been no reports of serious adverse affects otherwise.
