Hellerwork
Looking for a massage technique developed by a NASA engineer?
The engineer was Joseph Heller, and his bodywork method has
become known as Hellerwork. This massage method is similar to
Rolfing in that it contends that physical and emotional stress
(and gravity) can wreck havoc on the vertical alignment of your
body, particularly the connective tissue known as fascia that
encases muscle and connects muscle to bone. Hellerwork seeks
to make the fascia softer and more flexible through high pressure
and stroking. This massage method differs from Rolfing in that
it also uses movement exercises (or "reeducation")
and verbal dialogue between the Hellerworker and the client.
Hellerwork usually consists of 11 therapy sessions that target
different areas of your body.

Hellerwork, describing how treatments are done, what
can be accomplished and offering warnings on side effects
and who should avoid Hellerwork therapy.
