The Edmonton
Buddhist Priory - Edmonton
The Edmonton Buddhist Priory was incorporated as a Religious
Society in 1979. Our practice is Serene Reflection Meditation,
which is known as Soto Zen in Japan, and Ts'ao-Tung
in China. This practice emphasizes meditation and the
moral Precepts of Buddhism.

Buddhist Meditation Society - Red Deer
We are a Tibetan Buddhist group that has been blessed
with countless donations of spiritual artifacts that
now adorn our public shrine room. We have been meeting
here twice weekly since 2001. In addition to our weekly
teachings and meditation practices, we also have a library
for society members containing a wide assortment of
texts and videos on Buddhism.

Birken Forest Monastery
The Birken Forest Monastery is a monastic community practicing
in the 'forest tradition' of Theravada Buddhism as originally
established by the Buddha Siddhatta Gotama over 25 centuries
ago in India. This practice focuses on the development of
virtue, purification of the mind (meditation), and wisdom.

Our purpose is to provide a place where people can learn to
meditate and develop positive, peaceful states of mind. People
are welcome to take the teachings and meditations on whatever
level they like. For some the goal is to reduce stress and
anxiety; for others it is to enter into a spiritual path.
We offer many regular classes for all levels throughout the
year. These range from beginner meditation classes, to more
in-depth Buddhist philosophy courses and devotional practices.

Dorje Denma Ling
Rigden Dzong Program Center, located at Dorje Denma Ling,
is a rustic retreat and conference facility which offers practice
and study in the Shambhala and Buddhist traditions as taught
by the late Venerable Chogyam Trungpa, Rinpoche and his son,
the present leader, Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche.

sitting meditation, and is host to numerous community events

Forest Hermitage
The Arrow River Forest Hermitage is a small Theravadin Buddhist
monastic hermitage and meditation centre located in Northern
Ontario, fifty miles southwest of Thunder Bay. Lay people
are welcome to visit the Centre. Short or long term retreats
can be arranged.

dokusan as well as weekend events and sesshin that make possible
