Yoga: Spiritual Fulfillment or Satan Magnet?

Jun 29th, 2008 | By admin | Category: Yoga

Continuing an age-old Christian tradition of “if it feels good, it must be bad,” Author Dave Hunt claims in his new book “Yoga and the Body of Christ” that next time you slip into Downward Dog, you may be inviting demonic possession.

Calling yoga “the greatest Trojan Horse of our time,” Hunt says that yoga, and its Hindu-based practices, leave one open to demonic influences and as such should not be practiced by Christians. Far from a simple exercise method, Hunt sees yoga as a way to achieve a state of mind similar to hypnosis, leaving one wide open to l’evil.

And I always fancied Jesus a Hatha man…

Stop by Dave Hunt’s Website, The Berean Call, to check out a sample chapter. It reads a bit heavy on the “oh why do you persecute the Christians?” side, but it is interesting nonetheless.
