Iyengar Yoga

Think of Iyengar yoga as Hatha yoga with props. Created by B.K.S. Iyengar (hence the name), this popular form of yoga uses props such as blocks, chairs, and straps to help build strength, stamina, flexibility, balance, and improve concentration. Iyengar yoga consists of over 200 classical asanas andn 14 different types of pranayamas, as well as a number of variations.
